French electrical equipment maker Legrand to leave Russian market

PARIS, Jan 26 (PRIME) -- French electrical equipment manufacturer Legrand will cease operations on the Russian market “due to current circumstances,” the company said in a statement late on Wednesday.

“In view of recent developments, including rising operational complexity and uncertainty, Legrand has decided to divest its Russian operations and is currently reviewing options for transferring their control in a timely and orderly manner,” the statement read.

The company's activities in Russia accounts for 1.5% of its annual sales for 2022, the company added.
